Robert Carder Shoes is a family run independent business with two stores located in Godalming, Surrey and East Dulwich, London. As a business, we have over 15 years’ experience operating a high-street business and over 40 years’ experience in the footwear industry overall. New for 2021, we bring you our brand new website which highlights some of the beautiful shoes we have sourced from suppliers around the world.
Over the years, we’ve been asked why we’re so late to the ‘online shopping’ party and the truthful answer has always been – running two shops has kept us too busy! Until recently, we’ve just never had a quiet time to take on this seemingly rather daunting and mighty task.
So why now?
We’ve been aware for a while that people’s shopping habits are changing, and customers sometimes want to purchase online.
As well as this, the COVID-19 pandemic brought a grinding halt to how we operate our business. We’ve had long periods of not being able to welcome customers into our shops and offer the bespoke and knowledgeable service we’re renowned for. Whilst we’ve been on hand during this time via social media, email and phone to offer collections, not being able to view our products in store or online has made the shopping experience difficult for our customers.
Despite our new website, our ethos remains the same. We provide our customers with fantastic customer service and a range of quality footwear for all your needs. We’re a true traditional family shoe shop that stocks a vast selection of well-known brands for all the family.
